Survey and quiz – Survey Monkey

What is SurveyMonkey? The homepage says: ‘Intelligent survey software for serious primates of all species. SurveyMonkey has a single purpose: to enable anyone to create professional online surveys quickly and easily.’

Features

Web based so you create your survey on the net and participants go to the site to respond, or you can create a link from your site. No ads.  Basic subscribers are limited to a total of 10 questions and 100 responses per survey.

Cost

The basic subscription is free. If you want to go beyond 100 respondents, and up to 1000 and gain access to many more features, there is a cost.

What it's used for

Simple quizzes.

Why it's good

It’s easy to use and create the quizzes. You can either create from scratch or use templates. Participants can access from the web. You can add logos and banners, change colours and customise in many different ways. SurveyMonkey creates a unique URL (web address) for each survey developed, and that URL is embedded in the learning activity. For those not using a learning management system or web site, the evaluation survey can be emailed to their stakeholders.

Problems/downside

Limit of 10 questions for free version.
